It Will Only Happen if We Work Together

The Earth Day Alliance Inc., organizer of a free Earth Day event in San Luis Obispo County for the past twenty-five years, has chosen Sunday, April 24 as the date for the 2016 Earth Day Fair & Music Festival. The one day, 10am to 5pm, event will take place against the natural backdrop of El Chorro Regional Park, located on Hwy One; across from Cuesta College. Hosting the 2016 event are Earth Day Alliance, Inc. and San Luis Obispo County Parks. First sponsor, SLO Transit, will provide free bus transportation from Downtown Transit Center.

With the state of the environment reliant on the actions of every person on the planet, Earth Day events will take place worldwide to raise awareness, educate and inspire action. The changes needed to slow down climate change will only happen if we work together.

As Exhibitors, businesses, non-profit groups, students and individuals/families, can share their environmental or health message, cause, or solution Space is limited to one hundred exhibitors and is reserved on a first come first serve basis.  Click here for Exhibitor basic information or an Exhibitor application.

New  for 2016 — Yoga Morning and Sound Bath.  Start at 10:30 Jessica and Tim Costa will lead a 30 minute yoga session. At 11: 15 a sound bath.  We are seeking instructors and practitioners to lead interactive sessions in the afternoon. yoga, dance or other activities that are good for the body.  Email or call the Earth Day Alliance to find out more.

Earth Day Sponsors provide the foundation for each Earth Day Fair & Music Festival. Their generous support determines the level of outreach and education for the year. Sponsors are entitled to booth space and receive top recognition in pre-event and day of event promotions. EDA is seeking to fill its 2016 Sponsors List by March 28. Volunteers are the backbone of the Earth Day Fair & Music Festival.  It will take fifty volunteers on the day of the event and hundreds of pre-event volunteer hours to successfully organize, coordinate and manage the event. All levels of skills are needed.  Interns, seniors, students, teens and first timers are welcome to participate.
