April 18, 2009 – 11am to 5 pm – Mission Plaza, SLO

The Earth Day Alliance invites green leaning businesses, services, food providers, community groups, government agencies and educators to participate in the 19th annual SLO County Earth Day event – a Green Living Expo – in the Mission Plaza of San Luis Obispo on Saturday, April 18.  Free to the public, exhibitors will have an opportunity to come to face to face with over 1,000 residents and visitors to SLO County.

Since 1990, a group of community members, now recognized as the Earth Day Alliance, have coordinated an annual Earth Day event for the county of San Luis Obispo.  Admission to the Green Living Expo is free and is intended to promote everything from wise earth practices, alternative energy sources and travel choices to green building options, earth friendly products, and healing arts tools for the good of the planet, home, and personal wellbeing.

The mission of the Earth Day Alliance is to serve as an umbrella for environmentally minded business, groups and to come together to educate and when necessary alert the community to direct action that needs to be taken for the safety, harmony and balance of the eco system of San Luis Obispo County.
