Earth Day Alliance is Not a Climate Change Denier

“No matter what President Trump thinks about climate change we will continue to raise awareness and educate our community on its effects and how to slow it down.” said Earth Day Alliance Director Sandra Marshall in reaction to the removal of any mention of climate change from the EPA’s website.

Earth Day Alliance, a local nonprofit 501c3, has been coordinating an annual Earth Day event in San Luis Obispo County since 1990. With a mission to increase awareness, individual responsibility and action toward a clean, healthy environment, the grassroots group is pulling out all the stops to get local sponsors and exhibitors for the 27th annual Earth Day Fair & Music Festival scheduled for Saturday, April 22 at El Chorro Regional Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Earth Day is like a county fair. Businesses, nonprofits, schools, private citizens come out to share an environmental message, concern, solution or product. It’s fun, educational day and admission is free”, said Marshall.  Children can hang out in the Kid’s Zone, while parents check out the Green Car Show. A walk through the park will take visitors into the Live Green Courtyard; the Marketplace; the Public Square; and the Health & Fitness Corner featuring yoga, massage and workouts.

Two solar powered stages will feature live music and guest speakers throughout the day. Performers and speakers will be announced in March 1st.
