Prize. The winning art of the 2017 Earth Coloring Contest for children 17 years and under will be featured as the Earth Day 2017 poster art, the Earth Day SLO Facebook header and on the Children’s Earth Day Mural. On March 20, 2017, the Sponsor will announce the winner from all eligible entries received. The winner will receive recognition on the Earth Day website, through local media and social networking. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the winner at the Earth Day Fair & Music Festival on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Eligibility Earth Day Alliance Coloring Contest (the “Contest”) is open to children age 17 and under that are residents of San Luis Obispo County. Employees and Board Members of Earth Day Alliance are not eligible.
Sponsor The Contest is sponsored by Earth Day Alliance, Inc. located at 75 Higuera, San Luis Obispo, California 93401.
Agreement to Official Rules Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
Contest Period: The 2017 Earth Day Coloring Contest begins on February 01, 2017 at 8 a.m. Pacific Standard time and ends on March 8, 2017 at noon Pacific Standard time (the “Contest Period”). Entries submitted after the Contest Period will be disqualified from the contest but may be posted on the Children’s Mural as space allows.
Submission: An Earth Day line art colored by a child 17 years of age and younger. The following identification information is required with each entry: full name of child, complete address, phone number (including area code), date of birth and contact information: phone and/or email address of a parent or adult.
Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the Contest using any of the following methods:
Email: Scan art and email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Subject: ED Coloring Contest. Include required identifying information (see above).
Via Mail: Mail submission in a large envelope with proper postage affixed to: 75 Higuera St. Suite 100, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. Include identification information (see above) on a 3 x 5 card.
Hand-deliver: Submit entry with identification information on a 3×5 card to the Earth Day Alliance, Inc. office located at 75 Higuera St. Suite 100, San Luis Obispo. For office hours call (805) 544-8529. After hours, slip entry, in an envelope, between the doors.
Each entry must be submitted separately. All entries must be received by noon Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Limit one (1) entry per person for the duration of the Contest Period, regardless of method of entry. Entries received from any person in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Winner Notification: The odds of being selected depends on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner and or parent/legal guardian via telephone or email by March 14. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within two days (48 hours) after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place from the remaining non-winning, eligible entries.
