Get Ready for Earth Day 2018

On Saturday, April 21st, the 28th annual San Luis Obispo County Earth Day Fair will take place at Laguna Lake Park from 11am to 5pm.  This year’s theme is Time is Running Out. For businesses, organizations and individuals desiring to invest in Earth Day 2018 Partnerships, booth applications and volunteer signup are now taking place.

Partners are generous donor, Participants are businesses, organizations, schools and individuals who come to share their message, cause or solution at a booth. Volunteers are the events blood and help to organize and keep the event flowing.  All of these roles are invaluable to making Earth Day a success.

Since the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, this annual day of environmental action has grown into an international movement. More than 147 countries now participate in Earth Day.  inspires individuals to take earth friendly actions every day to protect and preserve the environment for future generations.

The Earth Day Alliance, a San Luis Obispo County based nonprofit 501c3, has organized an annual free Earth Day Fair since 1990. Its mission is to connect people of all ages with organizations, businesses, government agencies and college clubs who come to Earth Day to educate, motivate and activate the public by sharing facts, practices, messages, solutions, products or services that help cleanup, protect and preserve the environment. Earth Day is a reminder of what is important in our own lives, as well as our shared existence in our community, our state, our country, our planet.
